IPL which stands for intense pulsed light is not a laser device. It has a much less targeted approach by utilizing a broad spectrum of visible light. This means multiple wavelengths operate at once targeting more than one chromophore. These wavelengths of energy target the colour and depth of the hair follicle. The energy is absorbed by the hair follicle and over several days the follicles are ejected from the body. A minimum of 6-8 treatments is recommended.
