Colourstart: Postable Patch Test Kit

We're excited to introduce our remote patch test kit as a convenient option for you. This kit allows you to complete a patch test from the comfort of your own space, eliminating the need to visit the salon for a skin test.

The purpose of this patch test is to replace the traditional in-salon skin test. A digital consultation may be required before your salon visit alongside the patch test. Please check with your colourist. 

Your responsibility includes conducting the patch test 96 hours (4 days) before your scheduled colour appointment.

Our patch tests are provided by ColourStart, a system designed to enhance client safety and convenience. ColourStart offers an effective method to screen for allergies to para-phenylenediamine (PPD), a common chemical in many hair dyes. To minimise the risk of allergic reactions, performing an Allergy Alert Test (AAT) on the skin before using hair colour products is recommended. This protocol ensures that clients are pre-screened for potential sensitivities, guaranteeing a safer colouring experience.
